The sixth edition of the annual Hotel Investment Conference South-Asia (HICSA 2010) was held on April 7-8, 2010 at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. HICSA is globally recognized as a growth and investment opportunity both within and outside the country. The conference had a record 560 attendees and received good reviews for its content and quality of speakers.

This year, HICSA 2010 showcased sixteen global leaders from the world’s premier hospitality brands - a first ever in India. The mature perspective of these global leaders provided a wide learning panorama for the delegates in terms of enhancing benchmarks, targets, strategies and trends for the future along with providing opportunities for new businesses. Mr. Frits van Paasschen, President and CEO, Starwood Hotels and Resorts; Mr. Raymond Bickson, Managing Director and CEO, Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces; and Richard Solomons, CFO and Head of Commercial Development, IHG joined Manav Thadani, Managing Director, HVS-India in presenting their perspective on India as an attraction for global leaders in the backdrop of the global travel and tourism industry. Completing the illustrious list of global influencers at the HICSA 2010, were Mark Hoplamazian, CEO and President, Hyatt Hotels Corporation; Eric Danziger, President and CEO, Wyndham Worldwide; Gerald Lawless, Executive Chairman, Jumeirah Group; and HP Rama, Chairman and CEO, JHM.
